CofC's Giant Killer: Andrew Goudelock

The College of Charleston isn't your typical "giant" slayer and last season, the Cougars' guard, Andrew Goudelock, had some of his worst games against Big 6 conference schools like Tennessee and Clemson. However, Goudelock made a name for himself with 24 points, including four long 3s in an upset victory over North Carolina last season. And in the opening game of the 2010-11 season, the senior guard brought his perimeter game in a near-upset of 2010 ACC regular-season co-champions, Maryland. He rallied for a game-high 27 points, with five 3s and a team-high 10 rebounds. But CofC fell short as the Terps connected on a short jumper with three seconds left to put Maryland ahead for good.

Goudelock and his Cougar teammates were held without a field-goal for the final 8:30 minutes, leading to a 15-6 run for Maryland. Charleston will have a few more chances of taking down another big school with North Carolina and Tennessee still on the schedule ahead.
