UConn's Walker Leads Upset of No. 2 Spartans

Kemba Walker has been the hottest player of the country over the last week, leading the Huskies on a scoring spree over the past three games, including 30 in a win over the nation's No. 2 team, Michigan State. The junior guard has been one of the most impressive players to date this season, stepping up his play after Jim Calhoun's squad graduated three starters from last year. Let's just say he has accepted his new role. In games two and three, wins over Vermont and Wichita State, Walker tallied 73 points, the most ever in a two-game stretch under Jim Calhoun and his 1,181 career games.

In this latest UConn victory, bringing the Huskies record to a perfect 4-0, Walker went toe-to-toe with veteran Spartans point guard, Kalin Lucas and came out on top. He notched another 30-point game, the third of the season, on 10-of-19 shooting, knocking down four 3s in 38 minutes of playing time.

Walker's numbers should only get better as the Huskies next five games are against New Hampshire, UMBC, Farleigh Dickinson, Coppin State and Harvard. His stock should only continue to rise into a mid-1st Round pick as his play soars and the Huskies roll on.
