Team USA Downed by Croatia

Team USA fell from the ranks as the U-19 World Tournament's last unbeaten team surrendering a lead in the final 50 seconds of the game. Croatia scored five points in the final minute to stage the come back and win 87-85. It was the second consecutive game that the young American team let up a lead down the stretch after relinquishing the lead yesterday against Lithuania before winning in overtime.

The loss does not change the standings within the Group- the US maintains the No. 1 seed, while Croatia pulls ahead of Lithuania with Serbia seeded 4th in a three-way tie for second.

UConn's rising star Jeremy Lamb led the team in scoring for the second straight game, accounting for 25 points on 9-for-20 shooting and connecting on 7-of-10 foul shots, but unfortunately turned the ball over and missed the second foul shot in the final minute. Patric Young was another bright spot for the US team. The Gator made 7-of-8 shot attempts for 15 points and a team-best 8 rebounds, including four on the offensive end.
