Living Up To The Potential: Peyton Siva, Louisville
As a freshman and even most of the offseason leading into his sophomore season, Siva was a shoot-first, shoot-second and maybe pass-third guard. During stretches of games in his second-year under Rick Pitino, it appeared that a switch had gone off in Siva and as a junior, he is ready to assume the role of lead guard; in five of the final six games in 2010-11, he dished out at least six assists. This fact, along with Louisville being one of the top teams in a talented Big East conference has allowed Siva's name to be mentioned in the Player of the Year race.
With more maturity and experience in understanding the point guard position, Siva could live up to the hype surrounding him as one of the conference's best guards.
