Kevin Jones- Not A 1st Team All-American?

West Virginia's Kevin Jones has been the beast of the Big East this season- playing better than 38 minutes per game and averaging nearly 21 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. Add in the fact that he is shooting 53.3 percent from the field and he seems like a shoe-in to be an All-American right? Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Unfortunately, All-Americans, especially first-teamers, have historically been great players and very good/great teams. And a recent stretch of losses for the Mountaineers may mean a demotion for the senior forward; three straight Big East games against less-than-stellar competition have critics down on West Virginia and writing off Jones for not lifting his team above the slump.

Despite the "L"s building up in the win/loss column, Jones has played 40+ minutes in the last six WVU games, responding with six 20+ point efforts and three double-doubles.
