- Don't let the Razorbacks record fool you. Arkansas is 13-11 on the season, but has won their last five games in SEC play, helping them move into 4th place in the league.
- Duke's 64-54 win over North Carolina not only breaks the Blue Devils 3-game losing streak in the Tobacco Road rivalry, but now, the Tar Heels have lost four in a row and seven of eight.
- San Diego State's freshman forward, Kawhi Leonard notched his second straight double-double fifth in six games.
- Not only has Syracuse won 11 games in a row, but with their 5-point win over UConn, they have won 40 of their last 43 contests against unranked teams. The Huskies have lost six straight conference games on the road.
- Northern Iowa of the Missouri Valley Conference, clinched at least a share of the league title by beating Drake on the road. If they lose out, and Wichita State wins out, the two teams with share the crown.
- Miami's senior guard, James Dews missed the front end of a one-and-one with 19 seconds left allowing Georgia Tech to take the ball down and tie the game at 62. Dews rebounded by hitting the game-winning jumper as time expired, giving the Hurricanes a 64-62 win.
- Chris Gaston of Fordham recorded his fourth double-double in five games but turned the ball over nine times as his Rams lost to St. Bonaventure.
- The Richmond Spiders won their fifth straight game in conference play by beating then-7-2 Rhode Island, creating a three-way tie atop the A-10 between Richmond, Charlotte and Xavier. Dayton's Chris Wright scorer a career-high 30 points, helping his Flyers defeat Charlotte.
- Navy beat Lehigh on the road to create a two-way tie between the teams in the Patriot League. Five games remain before the conference tournament.
- The SMU Mustangs were no match for the Miners of UTEP losing by 11 at home. UTEP and Tulsa both won Wednesday night, so the Miners maintain their one-game conference lead over Tulsa.
- Northwestern's Tournament hopes may have been dashed with a road loss to 9-16 Iowa. The loss drops the Wildcats to 16-8 overall and just 5-7 in Big Ten play.
- Sticking with the northern teams, Northeastern won at home against Georgia State. The Huskies have won for the 15th time in 16 games to maintain their one-game lead over Old Dominion in the CAA.
