Burks Ready To Shine For Utah?

As of now, Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap and Derrick Favors are slotted into the frontcourt rotation with Marvin Williams and Gordon Hayward taking over the spots on the wing with a big question mark at point guard now that Devin Harris has been traded away. But, the recent Atlanta trade that brought about Marvin Williams doesn't necessarily mean the small forward will start- especially with the way second-year pro Alec Burks has played in the Summer League.

The Colorado-product was aggressive attacking off the dribble, getting to the rim and pulling up in the mid-range, converting 10 of his 14 field-goal attempts, and knocking down 10-of-11 free-throw attempts. The result was a Summer League-high 31 points for Burks in 29 minutes of action. Unlike on the projected roster, there are few scorers at any position in the summer rotation, so of course Burks' numbers should be taken with a grain of salt.
