South Florida: In or out?

Things were looking up for the South Florida Bulls: a budding star in junior guard, Dominique Jones, its first four-game winning streak in school history and the team's second-leading scorer and rebounder, Gus Gilchrist returning from an injury that sidelined him for 16 games. But they followed up that stretch losing three of four, including this weekend to St. John's at home. This loss has pushed the Bulls behind quite a few teams on the outside of the NCAA Tournament looking in. Although USF isn't done just yet- they have several key Big East regular season games remaining as well as the conference tournament, but the Bulls may be done for. In the team's four-game win streak in late-January/early-February Jones was averaging 35 points, while in their recent stretch, he is scoring 17 points per game. Gilchrist is struggling in his return to the court, shooting a poor percentage (31% from the floor) and looks out of sync with teammates.

With Villanova up next and a streaky Providence following, USF needs to get back on a run to put them back into NCAA contention.
