North Carolina's McAdoo's Stock Plummets

Given the top to bottom lack of depth in this 2013 NBA Draft class and quality production in limited time in 2011-12, North Carolina Tar Heel James Michael McAdoo was projected to be a top five, even a top three pick to start the season. At 6'9" and a burly 240 pounds, McAdoo certainly looks the part of an NBA forward and has the pedigree of one too, but his recent play against Butler and Indiana suggest otherwise.

His size and strength have meant very little as McAdoo continues to rely on short and mid-range jump shots. In fact, McAdoo has shot better than 50 percent from the field in just one game so far this season and that was against Division II Chaminade. In all others, particularly against the Hoosiers of Indiana, McAdoo looked very regular and very passive. And being the lone player on UNC with star potential, that will not cut it if North Carolina is to finish in the top three of the ACC
