Morehead's Faried Off To Another Strong March

Looking for a player who can elevate his team play and lead them into the NCAA Tournament? Well search no further than March-sensation Kenny Faried from Morehead State. Faried, the 6'8" forward, burst onto the national scene last March as a sophomore, by recording averages of 17 points and 15 boards a game in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, leading the Eagles into the NCAA play-in game. Once there, he elevated his play even more, totaling 21 rebounds in a win and then notched his fifth straight double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds against #1 overall seed Louisville.

This year, Faried is off to another strong March, tallying a season-best 19 rebounds and 24 points in the opening round of the OVC Tournament. Morehead State has home games all the way up to the conference tournament finals, where the Eagles should run into top-seed Murray State, who they split the season series with this year. With a few more strong performances by Faried, Morehead State could be NCAA-bound yet again.
