Sim Bhullar Gaining NBA Attention For New Mexico State

Canadian-born center Sim Bhullar is gaining NBA attention for not just his massive size, but now his continued hot play for New Mexico State.

Bhullar is a brute force down low, standing 7'5" and 355 pounds. And no, that's not a typo. Bhullar simply outmuscles/bullies opposing big men out of his way, putting up solid, not spectacular numbers thus far as a freshman: 21 minutes, 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks per game. It's even a matter of fact that Bhullar is limited by foul trouble as he is averaging less than 4 fouls per 40 minutes, but just the simple fact of conditioning. His massive size limits his ability to get up and down the floor for more than just a few minutes at a time.

But in his last 4 games, Bhullar is averaging 30 minutes per game and his production has seen a spike: 15.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game while shooting a fantastic 68 percent from the floor.

If Sim Bhullar can keep his weight down and improve his conditioning, agility and get some work done on his overall footwork in between his freshman and sophomore seasons, Bhullar will be a true force to be reckoned with and NBA scouts are watching closely.
