Michael Beasley's Troubles Continue

Michael Beasley, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 draft from Kansas State, was released by the Phoenix Suns in the wake of his recent arrest on suspicion of marijuana possession. Michael Beasley cannot seem to find a team that is willing to stick with the former college star. It seems like yesterday that Beasley was drafted 2nd overall in the 2008 NBA Draft and many people thought the Bulls were out of their mind not to draft Beasley with the #1 pick. The Chicago Bulls brass certainly made the right choice on draft night.

After clearing waivers, Beasley will become a free agent. Beasley averaged a career-low 10.1 points and 3.8 rebounds on 40.5 percent shooting in his only season with the Phoenix Suns. He played two seasons each with Miami and Minnesota before signing a three-year deal with Phoenix worth $18 million in the summer of 2012. Some team is likely to take a chance on the troublesome Beasley but, he is not likely to stay out of trouble for long with his track record.
