National Championship Matchup - 2015

The battle for college basketball supremacy comes down a pair of no. 1 seeds. The Duke Blue Devils vs. the Wisconsin Badgers. This marquee matchup is a rematch from earlier this season where the Blue Devils came out on top and handed the Badgers' their first loss of the season. Their earlier matchup from December 3rd means nothing as both teams are much improved from 4 months ago.

Most avid college basketball fans knows that Coach Bo Ryan has not guided Wisconsin or any D1 basketball program to a national championship trophy. What most don't know is that Coach Ryan has four Division III national titles. Coach K's Blue Devils' squad has been stifling teams with their team defense holding opponents to 55 points a game during the tournament. Duke uses an 8 man rotation, but it is led by 4 freshman, including a future top 2 draft pick Jahlil Okafor, and a likely lottery pick Justise Winslow. For what it's worth, Coach Krzyzewski won a title with Duke in the very same building in Indianapolis back in 2010.

The normally defensive minded Badgers' squad has been rolling on the offensive side of the ball averaging nearly 80 points a game this tournament. Wisconsin is been led by AP player of the year Frank Kaminsky. Wisconsin has more of a veteran squad with key cogs including Junior Sam Dekker and Nigel Hayes. Tomorrow night the world will see if the defensive Cinderella crowd favorites Wisconsin who stunned Kentucky will finally give Coach Ryan his first D1 trophy or, will the other under the radar freshman force ride quietly off into the sunset with a national championship.
