Orlando Summer League Stars

Joseph Young - Indiana Pacers

The Pac-12 player of the year put on a show in Orlando averaging 22.5 points per game over 4 games. Young also averaged 3.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds. Young led the Orlando summer league in scoring and will have to prove that the combo guard can do a little bit of everything in Indiana.

Aaron Gordon - Orlando Magic

Gordon was drafted last year with high expectations but injuries derailed his rookie year with the Magic. Gordon was a beast during summer league play over the course of 3 games. Gordon averaged a double-double (21.7 ppg & 11.7 rpg). He did more than just score and rebound, he added 2.7 dimes, 1.3 steals and 1.7 block per game. The Magic would be thrilled if Gordon could take the next step as a sophomore.

Myles Turner - Indiana Pacers

The big man from Texas enjoyed plenty of success in Orlando. Turner was in the top 5 in scoring and rebounding and led the tournament in blocked shots. Turner dropped 18.7 ppg, 8.3 rpg & 4.3 blocks per game. No one else even averaged 2.5 blocks per game.

Stanley Johnson - Detroit Pistons

Stanley Johnson showed his hustle and potential filling the stat sheet during the summer league. Johnson averaged 16.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 1 block per game. Johnson showed his mighty potential over the 5 game league.

Semaj Christon - Oklahoma City Thunder

Christon was originally drafted by the Miami Heat back in 2014, now he is on the Thunder's roster. He was a D-league all-star last year and look's to use his strong summer performance to make an impact in the NBA. The small PG from Xavier put on a show passing the rock leading the tournament with 6.8 assists per game. He also averaged 15.6 ppg to go along with 3.2 rebounds.
