What’s Next for the Celtics?

One or two possessions go Boston’s way and we are talking about the Celtic’s adding to their franchise’s history and not the Lakers reloading for a run at championship number 17 next season. But the ball didn’t bounce their way, even with Kobe’s shot not falling, the Celtics couldn’t hang on to that 13-point 3rd quarter lead and now must look towards the future in what is sure to be a long off season. Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Marquis Daniels, Nate Robinson- all in the top nine of Boston’s rotation are free agents this off-season. To make matters even worse, there is some speculation that Head Coach, Doc Rivers, might be stepping away from the game this off-season to spend more time with his family; he has a son and a daughter that are senior collegiate athletes, and a son, one of the top ranked high school basketball players in the nation, as a senior attending Winter Park High School in Florida.

Boston’s selection in the 2010 NBA Draft are No. 19 & No. 52 overall.
