Cole Aldrich

Strengths

Right handed....Aldrich offers great size at a solid 6'11" and has an excellent wingspan… Even with his size, the Kansas product maneuvers well due to his above-average athleticism and agility… Runs the floor well and can finish strong on the fast break… Despite his unorthodox shooting form, Aldrich is quite the offensive threat- he has a nice baby-hook shot and a smooth turn around jump shot out of the post, while shooting the ball well out to 18'… He posts up strong, using his lower legs for position and gets to the foul line where he is an excellent free throw shooter… His 11+ rebounds per game don't tell the whole story- Aldrich is a tremendous rebounder- keeping the ball high and boxing out… After securing the rebound, Aldrich is strong with the ball and offers up great outlet passes… Very good shot blocker…

Weaknesses

Despite Aldrich's toughness, he will need to add muscle to his frame to battle the bigs in the NBA… Although he sets strong screens, he has poor footwork when he rolls or slips the screen… Questionable lateral quickness… Will occasionally throw lazy passes…
