#21 Craig Brackins | F
Stats

Hometown: Palmdale, CA

Height: 6'10"

Weight: 230

Position: Power Forward

Team: Iowa St.

Class: Junior
Strengths

Right handed....Standing at 6'10", Brackins offers good versatility as he can play both forward spots and create difficult mismatches… He is always a threat to score, whether it is outside 20' in the paint, with potential to finish with either hand… He has a nice, quick jump-hook inside and has shown a strong ability to put the ball on the floor and drive past opposing big men… Brackins seemed much more motivated during his sophomore campaign- nearly doubling his freshman numbers for points and rebounds per game. He crashed the boards harder and looked to use his size and athleticism to his advantage on offense… Brackins was able to take advantage of defenders, getting to the line more than 6 times a game….
Weaknesses

Brackins turns 22 before his junior season, making him old for his class… Despite his age, he still struggles with his on-court awareness at times- he loses his man on defense at times, neglects to see screens coming and on offense, he needs to anticipate and read the defense better… Brackins isn't the quickest player, nor is he the strongest- though he made efforts to cut his body fat and increase muscle mass, he should continue to work with Iowa State's strength and conditioning program on his lateral quickness and strength… Will struggle with consistency from outside 12'…
