Day 8 of FIBA Recap 2010

The United States built an early first quarter lead and never looked back on their way to route Angola and survive the first knockout game of the 2010 FIBA World Championships. Using their athleticism and length to provide smothering defense, the America squad got stops and easy transition buckets going the other way all game long led by Chauncey Billups, Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and Kevin Love. Angola had difficult penetrating through the American defense and struggled even more getting back in transition defense. Russell Westbrook, Derrick Rose and Billups led the offensive charge for the team, collecting 16 assists between the three of them. Billups also led the team in scoring with 19, hitting 5-of-7 3s.
