#34 DeAndre Liggins | G
Strengths

Right handed… Liggins is not your typical NBA prospect- he isn't a 20 point per game scorer, nor is he even a 10 point per game scorer. He's a solid, but unspectacular rebounder. But where he makes his living is with his versatility- he can play three positions on offense and defense with his near-7-foot wingspan and athleticism. He'll be able to play some point guard at the next level with his size and court vision… Defensively, Liggins was the heart and soul of Kentucky's team this past year. His desire and toughness are unmatched… In his junior season, Liggins converted more of his 3-point attempts than in the year before to a career-high 39.1 percent. He handled more of the point guard duties than in the John Wall-Eric Bledsoe year, allowing Brandon Knight to play off the ball more and his playmaking abilities were noted as was his increase by nearly two assists per game… We know that Liggins won't be a star player at the next level and we know that he is okay in this complementary role, which, in the end, may help his stock as a second-round prospect. Coaches will love this kid…
Weaknesses

Liggins offers terrific versatility, but he doesn't do too many things great offensively- his shooting ratios remained relatively constant in the past two seasons, so despite his increase in 3-point percentage, Liggins was still the same shooter efficiency-wise. He doesn't get great elevation on his jumper and has some form that will need to be tweaked… Despite the rave reviews he gets as a defensive wiz, Liggins still needs to improve his off-the-ball defense and focus…
