#32 Demetri McCamey  | G
Strengths

Right-handed… Heading into his senior season, McCamey was seen to most as a second-round pick at best. He was a big, physical combo guard with deep range on his jumper, but this season he was handed the real reigns to the potent Fighting Illini offense and has only impressed… McCamey's success can be attributed to his slimmed down and is exponentially more explosive with the ball in his hands… As a senior, he is really showing off his range and much-improved accuracy from beyond the arc. Can he keep up his hot shooting? Not likely, but McCamey is definitely one we will keep an eye on. His offense circles around his perimeter shooting- he averaged about 4.5 3-point attempts per game… As good of a scorer as he is, he is just as good of a distributor. He has a 3-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio early on this season. He has great court vision, solid decision-making and tremendous leadership…
Weaknesses

McCamey has slimmed down his stocky frame and even though he isn't a great athlete, his fit body helps certainly makes him more explosive in the meantime… Through his first three seasons, McCamey struggled with a poor shot selection with ill-timed jumpers and a bit too deep for his own range, but he seems to have settled his issues this season. He has been better off-the-dribble pulling up and finishing in the lane…
