Strengths

Right-handed... Moore, a 6'3" combo guard is the go-to guard on the Purdue Boilermakers. He is a well-rounded player who has led the team in scoring the past two seasons and also finished near the team lead in both rebounds and assists... His offensive game begins and ends with his ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. Just recently, he began to put the ball on the floor more often and drive to the basket or penetrate and kick. But even still, he is a proven shooter off the dribble, off of screens and spotting up on the wings. Down the stretch, Moore is the player in which Coach Matt Painter draws up the plays for... Moore really excels in transition. He can lead the break or spot up on the wing, where he will get quite a number of jumpers in rhythm. If a man comes over to matchup with him, Moore has an explosive first step to get to the rim. With the ball in his hands, Moore runs the pick-and-roll to perfection. He does a good job recognizing the defense and reading his teammates. He can step back behind the screen for a pull-up jumper and hit the rolling big man for a dunk... Defensively, Moore uses his length well and does a good job staying in front of his man. His intensity and desire make him a capable defender...
Weaknesses

While Moore's shooting may be the biggest asset to his game, his perimeter game is inconsistent. After shooting 43% from behind the arc as a freshman, Moore's shooting has been around 34% in both his sophomore and junior seasons. An inconsistency in his mechanics may be the reason behind his declining percentages. He had double-digit shot attempts in all but three games in his junior season and at times, he just does not get his legs into his shot, causing his shot to fall short and not carry enough arc... At 6'3", Moore has pretty good size for a combo guard, but at 180 pounds, he definitely needs to add more strength and work on his conditioning a bit further... Moore lacks great lateral quickness, making him a bit of an defensive work in progress. He struggles with smaller and quicker guards....
