NBA Finals Game 7 Review
(Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Lakers)

The Los Angeles Lakers have defeated the Boston Celtics in 7 games. The Lakers have now won their 16th Championship. Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals will ne remembered for a long time to come. The Lakers have won back to back NBA Championship rings. Head Coach Phil Jackson has now won his 11th NBA Championship ring.

Kobe Bryant won the 2010 NBA Finals MVP. Game 7 was Bryant's worst game of the series. Bryant had a double-double scoring 23 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Bryant had 4 turnovers and only shot 6-24 from the field, including 0-6 from downtown. Pau Gasol continued to impress and dominate in this NBA Finals scoring 19 points and grabbing 18 boards. Gasol could have been the finals MVP. The difference maker in this game was Ron Artest. Artest broke out with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.

Boston had to play the game without starting Center Kendrick Perkins. Losing Perkins is not only losing their starting Center but also one of the best low post defensive presences in the game. Rasheed Wallace took his place in the starting lineup posting 11 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. The usual starting 4 played well. Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo each had a double-double. The Celtics had the edge in most of the categories but where they really hurt themselves were on the boards. They were out rebounded 40-53. Without Perkins in the lineup, the Celtics lost the rebounding war and the NBA Finals.
