Giles & Tatum Both Choose Duke

One day after tearing his ACL, Henry Giles, the top ranked recruit in the class of 2016 has committed to Duke University for the 2016-2017 season. Giles will join the #2 recruit in the class of 2016 Jayson Tatum. A major factor in Giles decision was his relationship with Tatum. Both forwards became close winning the U19 gold medal last summer in Greece at the World Championship. Not only did they bond as teammates, but as roommates. After Giles announcement, he said, "I feel like Duke was the place for me," "Every time I sit down and talk with Coach K, it's a special feeling."

With Giles commitment, Duke now has 4 of the top 50 recruits in the class of 2016. This is the second season in a row where Duke has landed the top rank recruit in the class. Last year Jahlil Okafor chose Duke. Okafor led the Blue Devils to a National Championship and then was selected #3 overall in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers.
