Class: 1991
Strengths

Right handed… While Tyler has been in Japan, he's been steamrolling the competition- he's averaging 10 points in 15 minutes of action with 6 rebounds in 33 appearances… A hair under 6'11", Tyler has a 7'4" wingspan and 34" vertical leap to make him one of the more agile, athletic 4 men in this draft. He's a face-up forward who has the quickness and ability to take one or two dribbles and get to the rim… He's a quick, explosive leaper capable of dominating the glass…
Weaknesses

It's been a real up-and-down experience for Tyler, much like the year abroad for Brandon Jennings. He left high school after his junior year to play in Israel and has since left for Japan… Tyler could expand his game as he continues to work on his perimeter jumper to give himself more consistency and more range. Simultaneously, he needs to improve his ball-handling so he is comfortable putting it on the floor two or three times with a change of direction and get to the rim… He took some time to get used to the European/Asian game and playing at the higher level and he still struggles with turnovers. Forcing shots, forcing penetration and getting striped by guards doubling down are things that he needs to be weary of as his competition will grow even stiffer moving forward…
