Orlando Summer League Highlights Day 3

NBA-DRAFT.COM will take a look at only some of the highlights from day 3 of the Orlando Summer league. Stay tuned for the low lights of the summer league.

Pacers defeat Celtics, 96-77

    Willie Reed of the Celtics completely took over in this matchup. Reed  finished with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks. The Celtics' first pick (no. 6 overall) in the 2014 NBA Draft Marcus Smart seemed to be more comfortable than the previous games scoring 11 points, dishing out 4 dimes and grabbing 3 rebounds. Kelly Olynyk continued to roll this summer leading the team in scoring, rebounding and assists (15,6,4).

Magic defeat Rockets, 87-69

    The Houston Rockets did not have a particularly impressive day, but the second round rookie from Arizona, Nick Johnson scored 13 points with 5 rebounds and 2 assists. The no. 10 overall draft pick, Elfrid Payton displayed his immense skills. Payton led the Magic to victory by scoring 12 points, handing out 9 assists and grabbing 8 boards. The Magic's other prize player from this years' draft class, Aaron Gordon finished the contest with 9 points and 7 rebounds in 21 minutes of action.

Thunder defeat Nets, 98-84

    One of the candidates for MVP of the summer league is OKC's rookie big man from Michigan, Mitch McGary. McGary was a potential lottery pick before injuries and an off the court issue forced him to enter the draft. McGary put on quite a performance with 21 points and 13 boards. Young gun Jeremy Lamb was the high point man in the game with 26 points. Brooklyn's Mason Plumlee again was the team's best player tallying 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
