#22 Otto Porter | F
Strengths

Right-handed… Porter has emerged onto the national scene after not being heavily recruited out of high school having never played AAU basketball and playing his high school ball at a small school in Missouri… At 6'9", Porter has excellent size and length with a long wingspan to create mismatches on the perimeter and in the post. He is a fluid athlete, moving well in transition or in the half court, almost like a gazelle when he sprints up the floor… Porter is an above-average mid-range shooter, often using his size to shoot over defenders and spot-up, but he has work to do in this area… He uses his size and length well to hit the boards, especially on the offensive end. He has a high basketball IQ, reading the defense well to get open in Georgetown's halfcourt offense and find open areas to crash the boards.
Weaknesses

Porter's body is not yet mature and he is still growing into his lanky frame. His biggest weakness right now is his rail-thin frame and he must add significant strength to play at the next level… He is not a prototypical athlete for an NBA small forward in terms of explosiveness, but he is fluid and smooth as he moves about the court… As mentioned above, Porter has some work to do with his perimeter game, specifically from 3-point range. His range, at this point, is questionable beyond 12-15 feet due mostly to his inconsistent release. It's very short and quick with almost no follow-through… Along with his perimeter game, Porter must continue to develop his ball-handling skills to become a more effective player. He has not shown the ability to create his own shot based on his inability to change direction confidently with the ball in his hands…
