Strengths

Right-handed... As a freshman and sophomore, Sacre has a nice NBA-ready body. He is a physical player with very good strength, which he utilizes to gain low post positioning. Earlier in his career, Sacre used to attempt to post up at all times, but now Sacre is more patient and waits for the offense to develop before establishing position. He uses his strength and post positioning well to draw contact and get his shot off... He has a basic, yet effective offensive repertoire featuring short hook shots and turnaround jumpers... Even with his size and strength, Sacre possesses pretty decent mobility. He moves well off of pick-and-roll situations, and although moves very mechanically, he rolls hard to the rim and is a force to be reckoned with as he goes strong to the rim... Defensively in the low post, Sacre reads opposing guards and forwards well and uses his length and mobility to get around the opponent...
He has proven to be a presence defensively in the post with his shot blocking ability, but he is still improving upon his timing avoiding creating contact...
Weaknesses

As of the 2010 WCC and NCAA Tournament, Sacre finally started showing signs of dominance. His lack of advanced low-post moves, limit his offensive potency, but he is slowly improving in that area. He still needs to read defenses and make decisions more quickly in the low blocks. He should further develop advanced ball moves and counter moves as well. Without much developing, he will continue to force his way straight through defenders, settling for contested shots. His moves are slow to develop and very mechanical. He has improved upon, but still leaves more to be desired in his explosiveness. For his size and strength, he really should be a much better rebounder than his current level suggests, especially in the West Coast Conference...
