Upset City - Colorado Stuns Kansas

Kansas Jayhawks 72, Colorado Buffaloes 75 

        Askia Booker knocked down a 3-pointer as time expired to lift Colorado past No. 6 Kansas 75-72. This victory gave Colorado their first win over Kansas in their last 20 tries (2003). Colorado surrendered a 6 point lead in the final minute and 44 seconds. With 4 seconds left, the game was tied. An inbound pass to Booke,r who launched a 30 foot jumper with the clock winding down gave the Buffaloes the upset and the victory. The crowed stormed the court as the Jayhawks walked back to the locker room with their heads looking down, as tears came streaming down some of the players faces. Askia Booker and Spencer Dinwiddie led the way for Colorado with 15 points apiece. Star freshman Andrew Wiggins led the way for Kansas with 22 points. The Jayhawks have lost 2 of their last 3 games to fall to 6-2 on the season. Meanwhile, Colorado is now 9-1 as they prepare for a tough stretch of games coming up in the near term future against Oklahoma State, Oregon, UCLA and Arizona.
