#1 Damian Lillard | G
Stats

Hometown: Oakland, CA

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 185

Position: Point Guard/Shooting Guard

Team: Weber State

Class: Senior
Strengths

Right-handed… Lillard is one of the most explosive scorers in the country, capable of going off for 30 or even 40 on any given night. He is a very good athlete with an extremely quick first step so defenses always had to be weary of his drives and be aware of his constant penetration. But now, Lillard has added in a much-better looking, more efficient perimeter stroke to boast. He shows off his deep range that extends a few feet beyond the 3-point line with a quick release. He also has the shot-fake and the quickness to get into the paint before defenders can react. Lillard's offensive rating has always been very strong, but its almost off the charts as a junior, which is equally impressive considering that he played in just 10 games last season due to an injury…
Weaknesses

Given his size at 6'2", NBA teams will be looking for Lillard to prove himself as a point guard, which he shows glimpses of at times, but the problem is that, he is one of the very best scorers in the nation and Weber State has yet to develop a point guard to push Lillard off the ball. So he is a ball-dominating (one of the highest possession percentages in the country), scoring point guard with improving court vision… Lillard has some potential as a defender, but his effort is less than thrilling. Whether or not he is conserving energy for offense, Lillard needs to show more focus and better effort on this end of the floor.
